Philadelphia Partnership to Advance Youth Apprenticeship

Advancing Youth Apprenticeships in the Philadelphia region by building equitable and inclusive talent pipelines from school to work.

A project of ApprenticeshipPHL and a network member of the Partnership To Advance Youth Apprenticeship (PAYA) led by New America, Philadelphia PAYA is a learning collaborative focused on sharing best practices and increasing understanding of Youth Apprenticeship models.

What is a Youth Apprenticeship?

A Youth Apprenticeship begins for the apprentice in high school, combining skills learned in the classroom with work experience through a Registered Apprenticeship program. Young people are hired and begin working in their apprenticeship during high school and remain with their employer after graduation.
