The program is for new staff members (been in their role for less than 6 months), who are interested in a Community Health Worker (CHW) career and looking for mentorship and on-the-job training to enhance their first year on the job. Apprentices complete 2,000 hours over 12 months.

For Interested Applicants:
Most apprentices will be hired with the intention of starting a one-year apprenticeship; however, if you are planning to begin work at a healthcare organization in a CHW or CHW-adjacent role, you can speak with your employer about reaching out to us to set up an apprenticeship contract before your employment begins. Employers can reach out to us at [email protected].
**Employer Partners:
– Organizations/Employers may email [email protected] stating that you are interested in having an employee go through the Apprenticeship program.
– PHMC will work with your organization to become registered as an apprenticeship employer partner (this is a one-time process).
– Apprentices are enrolled on a rolling basis.
