QUALIFICATIONS

Eligible to work in the United States

Need to take the ACCUPLACER placement test for CCP enrollment. Note: there is no “passing” score a participant can receive. Depending on a participant’s test score they will be placed into the following courses:
– ABE (Adult Basic Education)
– Level 2: English 097
– Level 4: English 098 and English 101
– Level 6: English 101 and English 102

Note: Applicants will not be required to take any math courses associated with their ACCUPLACER test score. There are no prerequisite math courses required for paralegal studies certificate of completion.

CREDENTIALS EARNED

Participants will earn their OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Training completion certificate and their OSHA 10 Card, as a part of their Uplift Soft Skills RTI hours. Participants will also earn a Paralegal Studies Certificate of completion as part of their Community College of Philadelphia RTI hours.

HOW TO APPLY

The Innocence Project of Pennsylvania will identify and refer eligible candidates based on their exoneration status. Candidates will complete an interest form to confirm their career aspirations and commitment to the program. An approved list of applicants will then be submitted to Uplift Solutions, who will then send applications to selected candidates. Eligible applicants will then be invited to interview by an Uplift staff member before receiving a decision on their application.
